1.2 What If I Already Have Bookmarks in IE/Netscape

Explorer and Netscape both save your favorite sites to your computers hard disk. This means that you can only access them from your PC and, unless you back up your files regularly, you may lose your favorites if your hard disk is damaged or your browser becomes corrupted.

CommonName lets you transfer them online easily, so that you can access them form any computer with an Internet connection and they should not be affected by any computer problems such as viruses.

Another helpful feature is the ability to give your Bookmarks a unique, easy to remember Name. Unlike typical CN Keywords, which are created and defined by their respective website owners and e-mail owners, Bookmark CommonNames are determined by you. This means that you can create your own shortcuts, using names and words relevant to you, for your favorite web sites. For instance you could assign the name "banking" to your online banking web site. You can also create folders to organize your Bookmarks.

By using your Browser's address bar and the CommonName Toolbar, you can access your favorites quickly and easily.
