1. Introduction

With the CommonName software installed on your PC, you can type a name directly into your browser's address bar and navigate to the website instantly, instead of typing in the full URL.

2. Using CN Keywords To Navigate The Internet

There are a number of ways that you can use a CN Keywords to navigate to a web sites:

Method	Instructions
2.1 Browser Upgrade	Enter the name of the site that you wish to visit into the Browser's address bar and hit 'Enter'.
2.2 Toolbar (Internet Explorer 5.0+)	Enter the name of the site that you wish to visit into the CommonName Toolbar and hit 'Go'.
2.3 Sidebar (Netscape 6.0+)	Enter the name of the site that you wish to visit into the CommonName Sidebar and hit 'Go'.
2.4 Floating Agent	The CommonName Floating Agent lets you navigate to web sites without typing at all! Simply highlight a name or word and double click on the CommonName Floating Agent icon. This "shortcut" works no matter which Windows application you are using (e.g. word processors, email clients and web browsers). To activate or deactivate the CommonName Floating platform: click on the CN logo in the Start Up centre (right hand corner of your desktop select 'Floating'
2.5 CommonName Website	Simply go to www.commonname.com, enter the CN Keyword for the site you wish to visit in the toolbar provided, then hit go.
