REAL ESTATE TAKES POLE POSITION IN ONLINE BRANDING: Keyword navigation increasingly adopted to support online presence
San Diego, CA - October 14, 2003 - Real estate, healthcare, financial services and travel industries are leading the way in the adoption of keyword navigation services, according to CommonName.
The provider of keyword navigation and pay-per-click search services has revealed that the majority of keywords registered to date were from businesses or individuals in real estate, such as realtors, registering 32% of all keywords.
Keywords are natural, everyday terms used to navigate to Web sites, making it easier for potential customers to find businesses without having to deal with lengthy URLs or email addresses.
The other top vertical sectors were the healthcare and medical industries, which accounted for 11% of keyword registrations and financial services, with 10%. The travel industry followed closely with 9% of the total registered keywords. Examples of realtors that have selected and benefited from CommonName keywords include representatives from RE/MAX real estate.
"As a full-time realtor for over 17 years, I have chosen multiple avenues of media advertising," said Nancy Bristow, RE/MAX realtor. "CommonName has definitely been the most effective form of advertising. I highly recommend anyone seeking to increase their business with serious clients to use the CommonName service."
"Keyword navigation provides very tangible results and this is most noticeably seen in customer-focused industries such as real estate, healthcare, financial services and travel," said Yurong Lin, CEO of CommonName. "The very goal of adopting a keyword or keywords for a business is to make it easier for potential customers to find your business online, ultimately helping to drive sales for a greater return on investment."
