18 July, 2002 - Global keyword-based direct navigation leader, CommonName Limited, announced the launch of its new website this morning at www.commonname.com. The London-based company, which has taken over the mantle from RealNames Corporation, launched its new site to be able to manage more efficiently the large jump in its global sales.
Yurong Lin, C.E.O. of CommonName, said "We have seen a large increase in our business since the demise of RealNames. We are happy to have welcomed thousands of old RealNames customers to our service. Our system now contains more than 100,000 direct navigation websites, giving our 20 million enabled users a unique and rich Internet experience. Further, the website launch coincides with the launch of some exciting new products, including Basic CommonNames which allow customers to register various types of generic terms."
CommonName has also announced the appointment of three new Registrars based in the United States. "We are very happy to have the three new Registrars on board", said Lin. "We have moved to a reseller-only model because we believe that energetic and outstanding resellers will be the driving force behind our future sales. These three companies have had great success in the past and we certainly believe that they will continue to do a great job for us."
